Provenance: The Artist's family

Lineholt Farm, near Stourport, Worcestershire, was the home of the artist’s great aunts Frances Williams and Marianne Pardoe. On her return from Rome, Knights embarked on an ambitious painting 'Demeter in Worcestershire', set around the Lineholt Farmhouse which became the subject for a series of detailed studies of the finest detail.
